Market Manager

ARTISAN FARMERS MARKET SOCIETY is looking for a market manager for 2018 (which includes some training in 2017).

The position is part-time, from April to November in 2018.

Our market managers (3 active markets, each with its own manager) are required to set up, organize and administer all aspects of their market, with a diplomatic approach to our vendors. Cash handling, organizational skills, customer service/sales experience, attention to detail and computer skills are a must. An interest in helping to grow our already busy markets must be paramount in the minds of any applicant.

Market managers must either have access to or own a minivan, SUV or vehicle that can transport their tents, signage, and equipment. Applicants must have the physical ability to move both signage and market equipment to the markets, and the willingness to work outside in all weather conditions. Market managers are expected to be able to perform their duties for the duration of the summer season, with little or no substitutions during this time.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work one long weekend day and part-time weekdays/weeknights, which can be flexible around an existing schedule.

Training will commence this year in October, on weekends.
